Council has documented on multiple occasions that it has consulted widely with the community on
this matter. In the case of PLCA, Council notes that many members of the PLCA, particularly its
executive members, attended every one of the four open houses conducted by Council’s public
consultation consultants to explain and gain feedback on the concept plan, and attended a specific
briefing arranged for just PLCA members on the same matter.
With regard to the rest of the community, which has been strongly supportive of the project, Council
intends to continue to consult as appropriate.
Consistent with the resolution just passed, Council will consider further community consultation
once they receive the officers’ report following review of the concept design. This is a work in
progress.
