PLCA understands that a submission for funding to progress plans at the Point Lonsdale
Lighthouse Reserve and additionally a Green Army project for weed and vegetation work
have been submitted by Council to government.
PLCA request Council/Council Officers provide an update as to the progress of these
submissions, scope of works funding was sought for and a possible starting date for works.
In the unlikely situation that a Green Army project is not imminent we further request that
Council consider organising and promoting a series of community working bees to clear
weed species under the guidance of local environment groups .
